Saturday Oct 6, 2007 was a beautiful day for the Pontiac Drags and Car Show the wind was out of the southeast about 10-15 mph. There was approx 80 Pontiac show cars showed up and approx 150 Pontiac Drag cars. One of the most impressive was a 1963 Catalina Super Duty with the aluminum front end and from what I've heard and read these cars are extremely rare. Tom and Sharon Wilhite brought there 1959 Catalina (10.02 et)  and (Sharons) 1958 Cheiftain (11.05 et), its always fun watching these Full Size Pontiacs run down the 1/4 mile. All in all the Pontiac Uprising was a great sucess and looking forward to next year.  

Well on October 6, 2007 its time for the Pontiac Uprising at the Mid America Drag Strip, located west of Arkansas City, Ks on Hwy 166. There will be approx 60-80 Pontiac show cars and approx 100-125 Pontiac Drag cars and a few vendors. I'll most likely be setting up somewhere at the Nort end of the track, just look for a Teal crew cab with a small white trailer, I'll have some Pontiac shirts, hats, Speed Shop Shirts, and some kool signs (pontiac service, lions drap strip, etc) If you make it out there stop by and say hi.
